Our client asked us to recruit a variety of smartphone users in Japan to understand how they use ‘focus mode’ features on their phone. Focus mode features including do not disturb mode, work mode, sleep mode etc. Respondents were asked to take part in a 7-day online bulletin board (OBB) which asked them to describe how they use these different features and say if it helped their productivity throughout the day.
We were asked to recruit mostly iOS (iPhone) users and to include a number of full-time students in the sample. Participants needed to be 18+ years old, with an average daily screen time of 4 hours + on their smartphone. We successfully recruited 12 participants with a mix of gender and household status, and a mix of students and people working in different professions.
The team were very quick to support all aspects of the project with excellent communication throughout. It was great that they were able to deliver on our requests fully to a very tight deadline and they took all of the stress of recruitment for us. We are extremely happy with our experience of working with FieldworkHub and would look to use them again in the future.
