The end client was one of the best-known multi-manager online investment management platforms in the UK. They were working with a digital design agency to develop a new app that would help people of different ages to manage their pension investments, both before and after retirement.
We were asked to recruit around 50 participants in different age groups (including some who had already retired), and with varying levels of investible assets for online depth interviews. We were also asked to program and host two online surveys to collect quantitative data from similar profiles.
Our qualitative recruitment work was split into four rounds over a six-month period. Each round had slightly different recruitment requirements and later rounds included a mix of fresh recruits and recontacts.
We obtained over 1100 completes in total from the two online surveys, with quotas for age, level of investible assets and current investment platform (with quotas for people who already had an account with the end client and those whose account was with a competitor).
The client was very pleased with the speed and quality of our work which formed a key input to the design process.
