From vision to worldwide delivery
FieldworkHub was set up in 2018 to address a gap in the market for a London-based market research boutique with the experience to take on all aspects of fieldwork projects across multiple countries in Europe and beyond, while remaining nimble enough to turn around projects quickly, and focusing on providing top-quality client support.
With the support of our loyal client base and hard-working, client-focused FieldworkHub team members, the business has grown steadily to the point where we now undertake around 300 market research projects a year and have delievered fieldwork successfully in 65 countries.

Innovation was at the heart of our early journey. While many established firms were slow to adopt new technologies, FieldworkHub embraced digital tools from day one. This forward-thinking approach allowed us to offer more efficient research solutions that delivered quality insights at competitive price points.
Our growth trajectory has been organic and purposeful. While our permanent team has grown from two people to 12, and we are supported by a global network of the best recruiters, researchers, moderators and translators, we have been careful not to lose sight of what made us successful in the first place: reliable delivery, a proactive approach to problem solving, and transparency in the way that we communicate with our clients and our other partners.

Caroline Bates
Caroline Bates is the Founder and Executive Director of FieldworkHub, leading the business with a clear focus on quality, client service, and long-term growth.
She established FieldworkHub with the ambition of delivery fieldwork differently, combining strong market research expertise with a highly considered, client-first approach.
Caroline is known for her attention to detail and her commitment to getting the fundamentals right. She believes that strong insight starts with strong recruitment, and places particular emphasis on ensuring clients speak to the right people for their research.
She has built a high-performing team that takes ownership and delivers to a consistently high standard, with a shared focus on quality, accountability, and client outcomes.
Her approach is hands-on and service-led, with a clear focus on doing things properly and delivering work that clients can rely on with confidence.

Philip Bates
Philip Bates is the Co-founder of FieldworkHub and leads all operations at the company, with overall responsibility for the internal structure, financial integrity, and operational stability of the business.
He ensures the company operates in a controlled, compliant, and financially disciplined way, supporting sustainable growth across all markets. His role spans finance, systems, digital marketing and operational governance, providing the foundation that enables the wider team to deliver at a high standard.
Philip also oversees the technical and operational infrastructure of the business, ensuring processes, tools, and controls are in place to support scale and consistency.
In addition, Philip oversees all quantitative research projects at FieldworkHub.
Known for his pragmatic and measured approach, he plays a key role in maintaining clarity, control, and long-term resilience across the organisation.
