The end client for this research was a cybersecurity company specialising in external threat intelligence and digital risk protection. The end client had recently acquired a smaller player in their space and wanted to hear from IT security decision makers who were using (or evaluating) other threat intelligence and risk protection solutions, i.e. people who had chosen, or were evaluating, a competitor to the company they had required.
The aim of the research was to understand more about IT decision makers’ selection and purchase journeys and the main factors that influence them to select a particular solution.
FieldworkHub was asked to recruit a group of IT decision makers from large UK companies to take part in a 3-day online bulletin board (OBB) on these topics, with half of the group invited to take part in an online triad interview after the OBB was completed.
FieldworkHub successfully recruited and onboarded 13 IT security decision makers with knowledge and experience of external threat intelligence and digital risk protection. Most of the recruits worked for large companies with more than 1000 employees. We ensured that all participants were successfully onboarded to the online bulleting board platform and kept in touch with them during the fielding period to ensure that they completed all the tasks. We then re-contacted six of the participants selected by the client to take part in two online triad interviews to discuss some of the issues identified in the OBB in more detail. The client was very pleased with the insights that they obtained from the OBB and the triads.
FieldworkHub are smart, extremely well organised, and a pleasure to deal with.
