FieldworkHub was set up in 2018 to address a gap in the market for a London-based market research boutique that has the experience to take on all aspects of fieldwork projects across multiple countries in Europe and beyond, but is nimble enough to turn around projects quickly, and dedicated to providing top-quality client support.

With the support of our loyal client base and hard-working, client-focused FieldworkHub team members, the business has grown steadily to the point where we now undertake over 250 market research projects a year and have experience of delivering fieldwork successfully in more than 40 different countries.

FieldworkHub is led by Executive Director, Caroline Bates and Operations Director, Philip Bates.

Caroline Bates

Executive Director

Caroline set up FieldworkHub after working in senior market research roles at Gartner, Inc, Viewpoint Field Services and M3 Global Research, where she was Business Development Director overseeing qualitative and quantitative research projects for B2B and B2C clients. Born in Zambia, she came to the UK in the 1990s and spent the early part of her career in financial services working for banks and building societies that included Close Brothers, Lloyds, Halifax and Nationwide. At FieldworkHub, she is responsible for business development and partner management, and she keeps a watching brief on the progress of all projects. Caroline is passionate about market research and the service that she and her team deliver to clients.

Philip Bates

Operations Director

Philip joined FieldworkHub as operations director in May 2019. As well as supporting Caroline with business development activities, he leads the quantitative side of FieldworkHub’s business and oversees financial management and marketing. Earlier in his career he worked for a number of tech-related start-up companies and more recently he worked as a management consultant specialising in strategy work for satellite operators and telecoms companies. Philip’s ability to think through the requirements and challenges of both qualitative and quantitative research helps ensure that FieldworkHub assesses feasibility thoroughly and delivers what our clients need in every market research project that we take on.
