Market research with B2B profiles

Successful business-to-business (B2B) market research involves identifying and accessing the most relevant participants, from specialist contractors to CTOs, even with no prior relationship. FieldworkHub is able to recruit the right B2B respondents for most studies using a combination of our own panel, specialist databases, social networking, and recruiters with experience in particular vertical markets

We are happy to recruit B2B respondents for our clients to interview, but if you would like us to conduct interviews or focus groups on your behalf, we also partner with trained, knowledgeable and personable interviewers and moderators. Our ability to interpret the research within the unique business context of each case helps us deliver truly valuable insights.

The B2B research audiences that we can target include:

  • Buyers
  • Senior management and business owners
  • Middle / junior management
  • Line managers
  • Employees
  • SMB/SME owners
  • Finance professionals
  • IT specialists
  • Distributors
  • Trades and blue collar
  • Members and delegates
  • Retailers

IDIs with e-commerce managers at large online fashion and home furnishing retailers

A developer of merchandising software for online retailers wanted to conduct interviews with decision makers working for UK companies with a large online operation in the fashion or home furnishing categories, to understand what merchandising solutions they are currently using, what features they currently find (or would find) most valuable, and how the buying process works. The ultimate aim of the research was to help the end client understand this market better and refine its product to suit the requirements more closely. We recruited 8 respondents in this highly specialised niche for a mix of face-to-face and video depth interviews.

Face-to-face interviews with garage owners in Manchester

FieldworkHub recruited owners of small and medium-sized independent garages in the Manchester area to take part in face-to-face in-depth interviews at their places of work on the subject of engine coolants and fuel additives. As part of the telephone screening process we established what brands of coolants and fuel additives that they currently sold and whether they had a customer display of these products. The interviews were completed successfully over a two-day period. In a second phase of this project, we also recruited commuters, cab drivers, car enthusiasts and vintage car drivers for in-depth interviews via video conference on coolants and fuel additives.

Face-to-face interviews with call centre workers and supervisors in the UK

A leading management consultancy was developing an app to help with the onboarding of new call centre staff, from the perspective of staff themselves (helping them to become familiar with the job requirements) and their managers (helping them to manage onboarding in a role where staff turnover is typically high). We recruited 70 call centre supervisors and workers to take part in a research programme that involved spending 15 minutes exploring a prototype version of the app, then answering an online survey about it, then taking part in a recorded 15-minute face-to-face or telephone interview with our moderator to provide qualitative feedback.
