Our client specialises in conducting Clinical Outcomes Assessment (COA) research for pharma, biotech and academic clients. We were asked to recruit participants in the UK for a Time Trade-Off study assessing how the different stages of a disease impact health-related quality of life. Respondents were asked to take part in a 60-minute online interview about a specific illness. Respondents did not have the illness in question but were asked to imagine a situation where they were diagnosed with it. They were then presented with examples of symptoms of differing severity, and asked if they would trade quality of life (i.e. living with those symptoms) for an extended life span, compared to having a lesser life span without the symptoms.
We recruited respondents based in the UK and aged between 18-70 years of age, with a quota for those aged 65-70 (who are traditionally harder to recruit for online market research) and a soft quota for people with minority ethnic backgrounds. FieldworkHub successfully recruited enough respondents to enable the client to complete 200 interviews.
I was pleased to work with FieldworkHub to engage with small businesses. The team were friendly and engaging and they added value by make practical suggestions on how we could best capture the information we required in the fairest and most objective way possible. The team had to work to very tight timescales and they delivered. Their work contributed to the decisions and actions taken by us subsequently.
