Our client is developing an innovative labelling system that helps consumers to monitor when refrigerated foods and beverages are fit to consume based on a tactile product label that monitors the temperature at which the product has been kept, providing a more accurate indicator of freshness than a ‘use by’ date printed in the factory.
The client wanted to collect consumers’ views about their labels and their experience of using them at home by means of video surveys.
FieldworkHub completed three rounds of research involving 75 consumers in total. We handled all of the logistics involved, mailing out empty bottles for the first two rounds and arranging for participants to collect full bottles from a fridge in our office for the third round.
In the first round, when few people knew about the product and the client needed to maintain as much secrecy as possible, we also arranged for participants to return the bottles to us at the end of the trial.
We also checked all of the videos received for quality and completeness and liaised with respondents to re-record their videos where necessary
The client was very pleased with the support that we provided and is now on the point of launching its labels with a major UK supermarket chain.
FieldworkHub did a great job with this recruitment. We always do research with very specific groups of medical specialists, so it's not easy to find suitable respondents. FieldworkHub provided high quality services, which made it possible for us to gather important insights from four completely different markets.
