IDIs: global food delivery app customers, 4 markets

The client brief
The end client was a food delivery company with operations in many countries around the world. They wanted to conduct user research to evaluate the consumer experience of ordering food deliveries via their app in Australia, Canada, Germany and Japan and compare it with key competitors in each market.
FieldworkHub was asked to recruit a mix of respondents who were already using the client’s food delivery app or a named competitor app. In all cases, the respondents needed to download both apps and ensure that both accounts were activated prior to their interview.
FieldworkHub delivers
FieldworkHub successfully recruited a full sample of 18 participants in each of Australia, Canada and Japan and 12 participants in Germany. The interviews were conducted via Zoom and lasted 60 minutes. Japanese and German respondents were also asked to complete a 30-minute homework assignment prior to their interview. The client was very pleased with the quality of the recruitment and the insights that they obtained.
